1.My reaction to this video is very staight forward. I believe steriods should not be used in anyway at all. Even though its not proven, steriods does in some way lead to death. There are a lot more side of effects than they mention in this video. I know a hand full of people that use steriods and some of there side effects are very noticable. A very common reaction to steriods is roid rage. Roid rage is a term given to people that act very aggressive at certain times after taking steriods. This rage has been shown to lead to violent behavior. Using steriods in sports is simply cheating.Your doing something that the next man isnt doing. I cant really see how using steriods can be used responsibly. Its to much revolved around steriods now for it to be used responsibly. More and more people are using it fo rthe wrong reasons now-a-days. Male teens are trying to become what they see on tv. They feel that if my favorite athlete uses steriods then its cool for them to use it.
2. Personally, I believe that using steriods will always be a negative thing. Even though there arent many studies that prove steriods leads to death, steriods do. In sports, steriod testing should be done every month. There should be randon testing at any time. Some athletes feel like there untouchable and that they can do anything they want. That mindset has to be stopped. There needs to harsher punshment towards those that contiue to break the rules. I believe that the public is what makes steriods so so much of a demand. When we wach sports, we want to see the best athletes compete. Athletes feel like to become the best, they have to do what the next person isnt doing. That is how its is for high school sports. College want the best athlete they can find. High school athletes what to be what the college coaches want. So they distance themselves from the rest and do what will make them better than the rest. Its so much expectation that sometimes their driven to have to use steriods to become what we want them to be.

1. The arguement in the first article is that action figures have gorwn over time. The article first begins to discusses how most males in college are dissatisfied with the way they look externally. They wish that they were looked a certain way that would increase there self esteem. The article later discusses how action have grown over time. It is obvious that through time, action figures have grown over time. When action figures first started to come out in the early 60's, there wasnt any definition on the plastic figures. As time went on, the figures began to become more and more defined. With this, the actual male human body began to become more and more muscular. The arguement in the second article is that action figures have influeced young males to want to become as muscular as the action figures are. The article discusses how young males want to look the way the muscular and defined action figures look by any means. If this means the uses of steroids than so be it. The artlice discusses how the use of steriods and wanting to look like the athletes we see on tv is starting to destroy society little by little.
2. The tone in article one presents the authors arguement very well. In the article, it expresses every little bit of the point its trying to get across. The article gives actuals facts of the how the measurements of the toys have expanded over time. The audience for this article is persuaded to the young adult males. In article 2, the tone from the authors arguement seems kind of humorous. The article gives a sense of how even though action figures are just toys, the immulate figures that we want to be like. An example of the humor is when he talks about the action figures being just toys. " They are toys. We all know that. Thats why we stop playing with them before we get out of grade school. We'll, most of us, anyway." The audience the author is relating this to is the young males.
3.My feelings towards theses articles were that they are true and that actio figures did have an effect on me. Growing up on action figures like Batman and Hercules, it gave me a sense of wanting to be more masculine and bigger than I was. The media also influenced my vision of become very muscular and defined. Watching the my favorite athletes on tv everyday that had the features that I wanted influenced me to hit the gym every harder than I had before.

Anti -Proana
1. With the websites and blogs now-a-days that promote being anorexic, becoming thin as possible is starting to become a trend. Young girls and young women are starting to starve them selves to death. This has to stop. These females are becoming to self conscious about themselves. Theses websites need to be shut down before females get to the point were start to think thats its cool to be anorexic. When females get to the piont thats its cool to be like this, thats when they start to spread the concept of beind anorexic to there friends. I went to school with this girl that was anorexic. She seemed like was so depressed. Everyday at lunch, she would get a milk and sit in the corner by herself. Thats all she would have for lunch. I felt kind of bad because of the stuff she went throungh. Thats why I feel that these website need to be shut down. These websites arent helping them out at all. The only benefit I can accept from all of this is on the blogs were there expressing their feelings about their situations. Other than that, it all needs to be shut down because its not benefiting them in any way.
2. With Anorexia become a bigger issue everyday, websites and blogs are becoming a great place for women in particular to express their feelings about their problems. A lot of people see these websites as harmful and not beneficial. I see it as females with these problems need a place to guide them with their problems. I know some females with these problems that are not afraid the talk about their conditions. They open with the fact that they have a condition that needs to be treated. The blogs are a great place for females with anorexia to hear about other situations and to tell otheres about their situations. If websites and blogs were not created for these people with these conditions, I believe their conditions could get worse because theirs to push to want to do better. A lot of people with this condition feel lonely and scared. This gives them a place to not feel lonely and know that there are others out there that have the same problems that they do.
3. Anorexia is growing in America everyday. Lots of people suffering with this condtion dont know how to handle having it. Websites that cater to this condition are benefial in some ways. In some ways they help because it allows people with this conditon to express how they feel. A lot of people with this conditon are scared and dont know how to express how they feel about themselves and their condtion. The blogs allow them to reach out with outhers and talk about their our situaitons without feeling scraed and embarrased. On the other hand, these websites can damage these people also. Even though these website are for people with this conditon, some people on these websites dont really know if they even have this conditon. They think they have this condition. With them thinking this, they get deeper and deeper into it where their thinking turns into knowing. The bad thing about these website and blogs is that anyone get one and join. I dont think that these website should be abolished but i do think there should be more regulation on these sites. I quess it would be hard to have more regulation on these sites and bloggs but somehting has to change.
